On November 5, 2019, Monrovia voted to tax ourselves to ensure new sales tax revenue stays in Monrovia. Yes, Monrovia has many needs, but I think the first priority is to pay down debt and achieve AAA credit rating. Second, we need to see what priorities Monrovia’s residents had in the Measure K survey. A few focused on maintaining our streets, improvements to Old Town, facility, and park developments including Recreation and Lucinda Garcia park.
